James Noble, CEO
James Noble is CEO of Adaptimmune Ltd. As the former CEO of Avidex Ltd and now Immunocore Ltd. James has in-depth knowledge of Adaptimmune’s technology as well as a wealth of prior experience in the international biotech community. Former CFO of British Biotech prior to leading Avidex for 7 years, James also sits as a non-executive director on the Boards of GW Pharmaceuticals plc and Evolve Capital plc (both listed on AIM) and of Curagen Corporation (listed on NASDAQ) plus privately held Axellis Limited.
Dr Bent Jakobsen, CSO
Bent Jakobsen is part-time CSO of Adaptimmune Ltd. and as the former founder of Avidex Ltd. and inventor of the increased affinity TCR engineering platform, provides unique knowledge and experience on the capability of transforming T cells with increased affinity TCRs for cellular therapy.
Dr Helen Tayton-Martin, COO
Helen Tayton-Martin is full-time COO of Adaptimmune Ltd. With a PhD in molecular immunology, a MBA from London Business School and 15 years of experience working within the Pharma, biotech and consulting environment in disciplines across preclinical and clinical development, Helen joined Adaptimmune from Avidex/MediGene Ltd. where she was responsible for commercial development of the increased affinity TCR engineering programme in cancer and HIV therapy. Helen is responsible for day-to-day running of Adaptimmune.
Dr Gwen Binder-Scholl, Vice President Operations, Adaptimmune LLC
Gwen Binder-Scholl is responsible for driving all aspects of Adaptimmune’s US operations including oversight of its four current clinical trials in HIV and cancer. She is a biochemistry and molecular biology graduate of Wells College, New York with a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Medicine from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore. Gwen has extensive industry and academic experience in cellular and gene therapy translational research and development, joining Adaptimmune as a former Director of Translational Research Operations at the University of Pennsylvania and prior to that Director of Scientific Affairs at Virxsys Corporation.
